Wealth Management

Being truly independent, we always seek to ensure our clients assets are invested with a fund manager that can meet their unique needs. Where relevant, we will introduce the concept of discretionary fund management (DFM) to clients. This can allow greater flexibility and tailoring of a client’s investment and retirement portfolio but it isn’t a solution for all clients. We have access to the whole market and utilise the research capability of Castle Investment Solutions to carry out due diligence on DFMs. The rigorous research and due diligence methodology adopted by Castle helps us ensure greater consistency in outcomes for our clients.

We work with clients who have sufficient money in their cash savings account to cover them for at least three months’ worth of living expenses. Also, clients are typically medium to long term investors. Once we have a detailed understanding of your needs, goals and appetite for risk, we can introduce you to some of the world’s leading asset managers and, where appropriate, DFMs.

There’s no such thing as a ‘no-risk’ investment. Understanding the risks you’ll encounter when investing and deciding how much risk you are willing to take is fundamental. You might have a long time frame and plenty of cash to fall back on but if you are not comfortable with the prospect of markets becoming volatile, then a high-risk investment approach probably isn’t for you. Don’t worry, there are plenty of alternatives. Ensuring clients are comfortable with the risks involved and that the level of risk is appropriate to their circumstances, is central to our advice process.

We guide our clients through the key principles and techniques behind effective portfolio construction, helping them construct portfolios that meet their investment objectives and horizons. The products used and asset allocations within a portfolio will change over time as a result of market conditions, investment performance and other factors. It is vital to evaluate and adjust the investment strategy regularly. We provide the professional advice and ongoing service needed to help you achieve your financial goals and keep your investments on track.

Tax Efficient Investment – ISA, EIS, SEIS, VCT, BPR

Your money can work harder for you by using tax-efficient personal allowances. We guide our clients through the areas of tax-efficient savings vehicles including when structuring plans around school and university fees, growth and income generating investment portfolios and retirement income solutions.

Where appropriate, we help clients select appropriate discretionary managers, utilise ISA allowances and explore Investment Bonds, Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS), Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS), Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) and Business Property Relief (BPR) products. Some of these vehicles may particularly be of interest to those paying higher rates of income tax, those concerned about the potential future inheritance tax liability on their estate and entrepreneurs who are looking to or have exited their business.

It pays to plan ahead. KAL Capital Partners work with their clients and their other professional advisers to better organise clients’ financial affairs.
